Michelle is a lifelong artist and has been creating and selling original art for over 20 years. Her art is inspired by her love of nature, cozy tea, folk art, farm life, animals, gardening, mothering, travels, and all things wild and whimsical.
Michelle lives on a farm in rural Southwest Missouri. It's actually a farm animal sanctuary! It's also a permaculture homestead in progress. She and her family moved to Southwest Missouri in 2021 from a tiny island in the Pacific Northwest, off the coast of Washington State. Her familiar surroundings of ocean, beaches, boats, whales, mild weather, and evergreen forests were traded out for a vastly different environment. The part of the country she lives in is called "the Ozarks", nestled in between the Midwest and the South. She finds a lot of artistic inspiration directly from the area, whether it's the remarkably different flora and fauna, the epic storms and tornado warnings, midnight visits from armadillos, the magic of cicadas and fireflies, or the simple fact that she can now grow things like watermelons and papayas! She homeschools her kids there amongst the beauty and wildlife of the Ozarks. Follow her on Instagram for behind-the-scenes, daily life, her art process, and more!
